CLS is pleased to announce that we are an approved course provider for TREC Continuing Education (CE) for Easement or Right of Way agents (ERW).

Effective January 1, 2023: Easement or Right-of-Way (ERW) agents must complete 16 hours of TREC-approved ERW continuing education (CE) for each two-year registration term to renew their license. CLS offers the continuing education (CE) course for ERW agents. At this time, we do not provide the ERW Pre-License Qualifying Course.

Class Dates: Mon, October 12, Tues, October 13, Mon, October 19, Tues, October 20.  Participants must attend all four classes to earn CE credit.

Time: 5:00 – 9:00PM CT

Format: Live virtual class, webcam required.

Description: The 16-hour course will cover essential topics to help ensure the success of an ERW Agent: an overview of the Right-of-Way industry; professional conduct and best practices; overviews of the pipeline, renewable, public infrastructure, and electric sectors as they pertain to easement and right-of-way acquisition; a review of legal aspects of ROW; Good Faith Negotiations; addressing landowner concerns; and an introduction to title concepts and legal descriptions.
