Job Description

CLS is looking for a Title Agent local to the Cypress, CA area on behalf of Paragon Partners (a CLS Company). Conducts complex title research for right-of-way projects. This role demands extensive knowledge of title searching and examining, the ability to read and plot legal descriptions, proficiency in understanding and preparing title chains, and the capability to analyze and report title opinions.

Desired Education and Qualifications

Minimum of five years of experience working on complex title projects, primarily as related to right-of-way industry.
Knowledge of PLSS and CA Rancho Land. Multi State title experience a plus.
Ability to read and plot a metes and bounds legal descriptions.
Advanced skills with MS Office suite as well as title search software programs such as Titlepoint and DataTrace.
Proficiency in reporting and describing complex title matters and opinions.
Proven track record of completing title projects on time with high quality work that consistently meets or exceeds client expectations.
Familiarity with searching in both manual and electronic title plants.
Experience performing title research using a Grantor-Grantee Index and a Tract Index.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
